Happy Holga Week!

Holgas In Paris, Dallas Photo Walk, Holga Week 2019

Happy #HolgaWeek, y’all! It’s here. It’s finally here!

What do you do during Holga Week (October 1-7)?

You shoot a Holga camera. Any film based Holga camera model will do (120, 135, square, wide, pinhole, TLR, instant back). You have one week to capture your winning Holga Week shot. Take as many pics as possible.

Starting October 8 through November 8, 2020, you can enter up to three potentially winning shots at holgaweek.com.

From November 9-15 the judging begins. Our jurors (Sunny 16 PodcastClassic Camera RevivalThe Lensless Podcast, and #TalesFromTheMagicBox, and you) will select the winning pics.

Holga Week 2020 category winners and the 2020 Holga Week Champion will be announced on November 22, 2020, in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas. Yes, that Dealey Plaza.

Good luck!

  1. Hello,

I was curious if you needed a selfie for each photo submission? I was also curious about the wording about the selfie submission with submission photos. Did you want a Holga Camera selfie, or would a selfie with a smaller camera holding a Holga be ok?

    Thanks,
    Daxton

    1. Howdy, One selfie for all entries will do. If your three entries use three different Holga models, then you will need on Holga selfie with all three cameras. Sorry for any confusion. Cheers, MH

  2. I see in #4 of the terms and conditions that Photoshop is not allowed. Does that mean that you cannot burn and dodge your scanned images, say in Lightroom, before submitting?

    1. Jenna, Photoshop should only be used for adjusting levels, color, removing dust, and cropping. A digital photo can be made to look like a Holga photo, so extra burning and dodging are out. Hope that helps. Cheers, MH

  3. Hi,

Only just found out about this but I’m eager to participate during these last couple of days. Just wondering – is using a Holga Micro 110 (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holga#110) allowed? I would assume it is but just wanted to make sure since it’s not listed.

    Thanks in advance,
    Saku
